NC PRE-KINDERGARTEN SERVICES INFORMATION 2023-2024

What is NC Pre-K?

Stokes Partnership for Children (SPC) is the Contract Administrator for the NC Pre-K program in Stokes County.  Eligibility for all applicants is determined by SPC and NC Pre-K classrooms are monitored by SPC for compliance with state requirements.  NC Pre-K is a fun and exciting learning opportunity for children that also helps them develop skills making the transition to kindergarten easier. NC Pre-K classrooms in our community generally follow the Stokes County Schools calendar and operate at least six and a half hours a day, Monday through Friday, from late August to early June. NC Pre-K classes are located in Stokes County Schools, Head Start, and private child care centers. By submitting an application, you will be considered for all possible placements. The program is free to qualifying families. Space is limited and some children may be placed on a wait list.
